The Escapism Tour is the brain child of Paul Dunton & Managing Director/Owner of Genetic Promotions & Artist Agency UK, Oliver Tully. The tour encompasses 8 US States and 12 shows. The Paul Dunton Quintet is a collaboration of some of the UK’s highest level of Classical Musicians in a Classical/Pop format.

Compared to the musical writing likes of Bacharach and Lennon/McCartney, the group have been hailed in the UK by The BBC and Play Magazine. A tour that should not be missed and that will leave the Audiences longing for more…

My recently released album entitled ‘Escapism’ is now available to purchase. The 12 track album was recorded live to an audience at The Ship Theatre located in Sevenoaks, Kent. The new album is comprised of brand new material and a couple of revamped songs from previous album ‘Train of Thought’.

The new album features my larger string & flute ensemble known as The Paul Dunton Orchestra and additional vocals from Fiona Keeler.

It is presented as a twin pack CD & DVD to offer a both an audio and visual insight into the recording itself. The album is available to buy at Ape Music store in Tunbridge Wells and from all live performances. New album Downloads soon to be available on Itunes!

PAUL DUNTON ORCHESTRA TO OPEN ‘LOCAL & LIVE’ SESSIONS
In the build up to main festival in August, The Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge wells is set to host the ‘Local & Live Sessions’ featuring a selection of headline acts from the Local & Live festival roster and the Paul Dunton & Guests roster from The Grey Lady Music Lounge performing on the same bill. Shows have been booked throughout 2011 with a view to go to once a month in 2012.The first concert is on Saturday 19th March and features popular local bands Origami Dinosaur and Intraverse. The Paul Dunton Orchestra will be opening proceedings at 8pm.

LIVE SHOWS IN 2011!
Please visit the events section to check out my upcoming live shows. I will be regularly performing with the Quintet line up through out January & February. It is likely that the first outing for the Orchestra will be in March. The events section will be regularly updated throughout 2011.

NEW EP DUE OUT IN THE SUMMER!
I plan to release a new EP in the summer featuring a selection of previously unreleased brand new material.

TOUR OF USA ON THE CARDS!
USA tour takes a step closer. I am hoping to tour the east coast of USA in July 2011.
Plans are now in place with Boston the likely destination for the trip. Details to follow soon.

Local & Live Winter Concert

“I am delighted and honoured to be sharing the bill with the brilliant ‘Charlie Rivers Band’ for this inaugural Local & Live Winter concert. It is not often that two unsigned acts get the opportunity to play a 1000 seater venue such as this. I can’t wait to perform with my orchestra once again, with professional sound and lighting all in place it promises to be a spectacular concert. I will be donating some of the proceeds into the 2011 Local & Live Music Festival which is in need of financial assistance to survive each year. Both Charlie and I look forward to seeing you there.”
