What we do

PAUL DUNTON ORCHESTRA

For certain larger venues Paul expands his line up to 8 Cellos, 8 violins, 2 flutes, guitar and vocalist Fiona Keeler.

The Orchestra Line up offers a unique live experience and allows audiences the opportunity to enjoy the true dynamics and atmosphere of Paul’s music. The ethereal string arrangements shift from unison to harmony adding further texture and layers to the live sound.

Paul Dunton Orchestra

Paul likes to incorporate two Flutes and guitar in addition to vocalist Fiona Keeler who performs both lead and harmony parts. In addition to his own songs, Paul and his orchestra often include some covers within their live shows resulting in a selection of unique orchestral interpretations of artists such as Nina Simone, The Rolling Stones, Elbow, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Turin Brakes and Massive Attack. Paul’s orchestra is comprised of some of the UK’s leading string players, many of which play for the likes of The London Philharmonic Orchestra and The Hallé Orchestra.

PAUL DUNTON QUINTET

For intimate live shows Paul performs on Piano/vocals alongside Cello, 2 Violins, Flute and guitar.

The Quintet formation can be adapted to suit the venue and the line up can vary with the option to rotate the flute with guitar and an extra vocalist depending on the song. Both violinists, Jenny Maslin & Charlotte Andrew can switch to lead or harmony vocals and further harmonies can be added by guitarist, Steve McCormack. Recently, Paul has been writing to accommodate two Cello’s which when played in harmony offers a unique rich sound interweaving around the piano and guitar. Miriam Evans and Caroline Stead are Paul’s principle cellists and his regular flautists are Becky Andrew and Fleur Chaffé.

Paul’s regular violinists also include Lianna Jeffery, Anna Wynne, Pippa Arden, Geri Holton and Hazel Ross.
